Guitar Templates – Register for the Student Discount

Are you registered to receive the Student Discount?

As a student at an affiliated Guitar Making School (GMS), you are entitled to a 5% discount on the entire range of products on our website (excluding heavily discounted Clearance Stock and occasionally other specials).  There is no special discount code required, however you must first be registered as a customer and also as a GMS student on the Guitar Templates website. 

Step 1 - Register as a Customer at Guitar Templates:

1. Go to the Guitartemplates.com.au homepage.
2. Click on: My Account in the top right corner.
3. You will get a drop-down list.  Click on the last item: Register
4. To register as a new customer, use the right-side panel and provide your Email address and password. 
   1. You must click the box I have read and agree…
   2. I also recommend that you click the Subscribe to our Newsletter… box so you get our emails about offers and deals.
5. Click +Register and Continue
6. You will now be on the Account Summary page.  Click on Edit My Contact Details and fill in the relevant information including your name, address and phone number. 
7. Optional: If you want to create a separate Shipping Address, select Edit My Address Book

That’s it.  You’re all done and can start placing orders.  But you’re not yet registered for the discount.

Step 2 - Register for the Student Discount at Guitar Templates.

Once you are registered as a customer, you must then advise us by email ([email protected]) telling us your name, which school you are a student of and that you have registered as a customer.  You will get an email confirming you are in the student discount group and can start ordering. 

Once you are registered, the discounted prices will be visible.  See the example below with the discount shown in the top right corner next to the regular retail price and the discounted price at the bottom.

So, if you are not seeing the discount when you log in and browse our products, that indicates you are not registered as a student and you need to let us know.  The astute reader will have seen that the Camphor Laurel back & sides set in the image above (CL1) doesn’t have a discount indicated.  Where products like this have multiple options (price says “From $…”), the discount appears once you open the product listing.  This is because the discount appears only when you are looking at the specific option chosen.
